I found it odd that blizzard chose to go this route. Obviouisly the answer to the wierd gearing options is to remove the class restrictions for leather boots, and re-itemize the mail boots for warriors and pallies.
So Leather would now be for rogue/druiid/hunter/shammy
and Mail would be for warrior/pally
instead atm hunters shammies warriors and pallies are SOL for boots in the wow gold and no-one is using the lowbie mail kickers otherwise. Would be nice to not have to enchant a pair of boots with the movement speed increase to be on par with the other 2 armor types (that can use the gear) in the bracket.
Im talking about Chain/Mail Greaves and Higlanders Lizardhide/ Leather boots.
You should make 1 of the chain/ mail greaves Strength and the other Int.
and 1 of the Higlanders Lizardhide/ Leather boots agility and the other int.
They're level 40 because of the armor type shift and they didn't want to make a ton of pieces back in the days when those pieces were really hard to get. The stat difference between the 28's and the 38's items isn't really that big of a deal, and you really lose out on way more putting run speed on something else.
They also have mentioned adding in X0-X4 bracket gear, though.
